Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Manager of Patient Access Services to lead daily operations across hospital service areas, ensuring accurate patient registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance.

You will supervise patient access supervisors and staff, collaborate with Revenue Cycle, IT, and HR, and drive process improvements while maintaining HIPAA compliance. This role requires strong leadership and a patient-centered approach within a unionized hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred; or High School Diploma with equivalent, 3-4 years of directly relevant experience.
• Experience in managing Patient Access or front-end revenue cycle operations within a hospital or large health system.
• Experience with EPIC is preferred.
• Experience working in a unionized healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Patient Access ops ensuring accurate registration and regulatory/payer compliance.
• Monitor productivity, accuracy, and quality metrics; apply corrective actions as needed.
• Identify workflow gaps and lead process improvements for efficiency and data integrity.
• Ensure onboarding, ongoing education, and regulatory training including AIDET.
• Maintain knowledge of patient access workflows, payer requirements, and front-end metrics.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support operations and compliance.
