Qualifications

• 1 year business or medical secretarial training preferred.

• Completion of medical terminology course.
• CHAA Certified Healthcare Access Associate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Articulate information to patients, guarantors, and families with high service.
• Gather and enter information into the hospital system to aid data collection and billing.
• Coordinate with medical staff and insurance carriers to assist families with healthcare and financial services.
• Operate printers, fax machines, and general office equipment.
• Familiar with insurance eligibility software and revenue cycle processes.
• Multitask and stay composed in stressful situations while using appropriate resources.
• Provide strong interpersonal communication to represent the department professionally.
• Familiar with scheduling, registration, collections, and telecommunications applications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• General knowledge of the sleep center and its practices.
