Job summary

Tahoe Forest Health System is seeking an Access Center professional to manage scheduling, pre-registration, e-verification, and patient financial duties. You will coordinate with radiology, surgery, and other service lines, ensuring accurate orders, timely information, and excellent patient experiences.

Responsibilities include collecting co-pays and deductibles, providing self-service options, and communicating clearly with patients and families.

Qualifications

• No educational requirement and 1–2 years relevant experience.
• NAHAM CHAA certification (preferred).
• Experience in patient registration, scheduling, and/or hospital patient accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments for complex service lines (Diagnostic Imaging, Physical Therapy, Physician offices, Surgical Services).
• Perform pre-visit readiness tasks and pre-registration duties.
• Verify insurance and determine patient out-of-pocket costs (co-pays, deductibles).
• Provide training and support to team members to ensure workflow consistency.
• Act as liaison to patients and communicate resolutions and next steps.
• Drive to on-site offices as needed to support the team and escalations.
