Job summary

NTMC is seeking a Pre-Registration Scheduler to ensure accurate patient demographics, insurance verification, and scheduling for radiology and surgical services. The role emphasizes data integrity, regulatory compliance, and smooth patient flow through the admission process.

Responsibilities include managing the Pre-registration worklist, handling prior authorizations, and communicating with patients and provider offices to minimize delays and denials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; associates degree preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in Revenue Cycle, Patient Access or Centralized Scheduling in acute care preferred.
• Experience with Medhost, Athena or similar health information systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information before service.
• Analyze and resolve live quality metrics by updating patient records in Medhost.
• Maintain Pre-registration scheduling worklist to track GFE status, authorizations, and provider notes.
• Create PCNs only when the patient is ready to be scheduled.
• Manage digital intake and consent forms via Simple Interact; minimize duplicates.
