Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Part-Time Patient Access Representative II to ensure efficient patient access operations and support the department’s delivery of high-quality patient care.

You will coordinate registration, scheduling, and insurance verification to promote a positive patient experience and accurate data capture, while working under general supervision and applying independent judgment within policy.

Qualifications

• Associates degree plus one year relevant experience or High School Diploma/GED plus three years relevant experience
• Experience with electronic health record, registration & billing systems or ability to learn such systems

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of patient-facing duties to ensure excellent patient experience including appointment scheduling and registration
• Handles co-pay collection, visit management and collection of regulatory documents
• Verifies insurance and processes prior authorizations and referrals as needed
• Delivers outbound patient communications and answers inquiries across channels
• Coordinates with care team to ensure timely patient form completion and document scans into EHR
