Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an Ambulatory Service Representative for the Gyn Oncology Clinic in Worcester, MA. This part-time, on-site position handles a range of administrative duties for patients and procedures within an ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, verifying demographics/insurance, collecting co-pays, obtaining consent, coordinating referrals, and scheduling tests and appointments.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience or waiver if degree is present.
• Ability to use specialized applications software and computer systems.
• Exemplifies professional behavior and excellent communication and human relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets visitors and patients for scheduled or urgent care visits.
• Verifies patient demographics and insurance information.
• Collects co-payments from patients upon arrival.
• Obtains signatures of consent for treatment and insurance/billing information.
• Coordinates referrals and communicates with providers and staff.
• Schedules appointments and coordinates tests and procedures per guidelines.
