Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Part-time Patient Service Representative to deliver high-quality, patient-centered service in a fast-paced environment. You will greet patients, register them in the EMR, verify insurance and scheduling needs, and answer inquiries by phone and in person.

You will coordinate appointments, manage billing questions, and help with records while upholding confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of related customer service experience.
• Experience handling difficult callers/customers/patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, high-quality service to patients at appointments or by phone.
• Register patients in EMR and verify billing and demographics.
• Coordinate scheduling of patient appointments.
• Answer multiple lines and route calls appropriately.
• Enter charges and process billing information.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
