Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Patient Service Representative in Rockville Centre, NY. You will greet patients, register them, verify insurance, and handle payments with accurate receipts.

The role requires strong customer service, English communication, and experience with EHR/Practice Management systems. Some travel to satellite offices may be required; flexible, team-oriented candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Associate Degree preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills expected.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written.
• Experience with EHR and practice management systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner and direct them appropriately.
• Maintain efficient patient flow during registration and provide outstanding service.
• Answer phones promptly and route calls, taking accurate messages.
• Process self-pay charges, collect payments and provide receipts.
• Update patient demographics, insurance, and HIPAA forms; verify eligibility.
• Schedule appointments and enter orders for tests and procedures.
• Perform clerical duties such as faxing, scanning, filing and mailing.
