Millennium Physician Group in Venice, FL is seeking a Patient Care Specialist to coordinate front office activities, scheduling, patient communication, and documentation to support efficient care center operations.

You will verify demographics and insurance, handle patient inquiries, route messages, and maintain accurate medical records, with supervision and opportunities to grow within a large Florida-based physician network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of administrative, patient access, customer service, or healthcare support experience preferred.
• Experience with front office healthcare operations, scheduling, and patient communication processes.
• Ability to interpret standard procedures and resolve routine to moderately complex patient issues.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient scheduling, registration, visit preparation, and follow-up activities across assigned care center workflows.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance information, referral details, and required documentation prior to or during visits.
• Respond to patient calls, messages, and front desk inquiries, providing accurate information within guidelines.
• Identify scheduling gaps and missing information and take steps to resolve issues.
• Route clinical messages, refill requests, forms, and care-related inquiries to the care team.
• Maintain accurate records in electronic medical records, scheduling, and patient communication systems.
• Support daily front office workflow by prioritizing routine tasks and escalating issues when needed.
