Job summary

Responsibilities include patient pre-registration, collecting payments, verifying coverage, obtaining prior authorizations, responding to inquiries, and managing daily appointment schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year medical office or related customer service experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers/registers patients with accurate demographic and financial data.
• Collects patient balances, co-payments, co-insurance, or other payment types.
• Verifies health insurance coverage and ensures all requirements are met; obtain prior authorization/referrals as appropriate.
• Responds to customer inquiries.
• Assists with departmental coverage as needed.
