Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; post-secondary education helpful.
• One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Medical terminology helpful; customer service skills essential.
• Six months' customer service experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients/residents, verify demographics to register and/or schedule.
• Handle payments: collect co-payments and payments on account balances.
• Coordinate referrals, pre-authorization, interpreter services; schedule appointments.
• Operate multi-line phones and assist with chart preparation as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and provide empathetic patient assistance.
