• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.
• Proficiency in computer data entry and familiarity with calendar applications and databases.
• Knowledge of customer service practices and principles.
• Strong research and problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Answers incoming telephone calls in a courteous and helpful manner; relays messages and maintains confidentiality.
• Fields outbound calls (insurance referrals, medical records, waitlist management).
• Registers new patients and updates patient information in scheduling system; verifies subscriber information.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and provides forms for parents; obtains guardian information to complete accounts.
• Reviews procedure and diagnosis codes; assists with appeals of denials and provides records for disputes.
• Maintains confidentiality of hospital and patient information at all times.
• Handles patient/family complaints confidentially and promptly; aims for 24-hour responses.
• Fosters professional relationships within the department and across teams; supports service excellence.
• Completes required training and maintains safe work area; mentors new staff as needed.
• Balances daily financials and provides information to Financial Services.
