Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Patient Access team member to support patient registration, scheduling, and billing processes. The role requires strong communication with patients, families, and insurance providers, plus data entry and eligibility verification proficiency.

Responsibilities include collecting demographic and financial information, ensuring accurate questionnaires, and supporting multiple locations with flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1 year of healthcare or related clerical, accounting, or customer service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education may be considered in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with patients, families, physicians, clinical staff, and insurance companies to obtain information and insurance verification.
• Enters data into system for registration, billing, patient tracking, charge capture, and reconciliation.
• Verifies insurance coverage and/or validates authorizations if applicable.
• Explains regulatory financial requirements to patient or responsible party and collects deposits or deductibles.
• Prepares case materials and supports billing to minimize denials and delays.
