Job summary

• Greet patients in person or via telephone and update their demographics in the practice management system.
• Verify that insurance is acceptable for the physician seen and confirm coverage before or at arrival.
• Communicate with staff to ensure patient records are available for the physician.
• Process HIPAA-related paperwork and required institutional forms.
• Collect co-pays or process payments as directed by billing staff and issue receipts.
