Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of office or call center, customer service or healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of computers and standard office equipment required.
• Proficiency in data entry preferred.
• American Heart Association, Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and create a welcoming environment for the visit.
• Register patients, collect demographics and insurance details.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations/referrals.
• Explain benefits and financial responsibilities to patients.
• Collect co-pays and payments per hospital policy.
• Assist patients with navigating the online patient portal.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and privacy at all times.
