Job summary

Neighborhood Healthcare is seeking a Patient Services Representative to provide front office support, manage patient access, and coordinate scheduling. This role acts as the first contact for patients and collaborates with providers and care teams in a fast-paced clinic environment.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare. EMR familiarity and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year customer service experience required; healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience working with electronic medical records and multi-line phone systems preferred.
• Bilingual preferred depending on site needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and incoming calls.
• Greets and assists patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Schedules, reschedules, and confirms patient appointments in the electronic scheduling system.
• Conducts appointment reminder calls and provides visit preparation instructions when needed.
• Verifies patient demographics, insurance information, and registration data.
