Phelps Health in Rolla, MO is seeking a Patient Services Representative to greet patients and guide them through initial care steps. You will collect demographic data, verify insurance, and explain financial responsibilities.

Competenze

• Six months of office and/or call center, customer service or healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of computers and other standard office equipment required.
• Proficiency in data entry preferred.

• Collect accurate demographic information and enter it into the system; update records as needed.
• Verify insurance coverage by contacting providers or using real-time eligibility tools; obtain pre-authorizations or referrals as required.
• Explain insurance benefits and patient financial responsibilities clearly.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and balances per hospital policy; maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Assist patients with online portal navigation and use; adapt to shifting priorities.
