Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; vocational medical office training desired.
• Minimum one year medical office/hospital experience in eligibility or scheduling.
• Medical Assistant certification may be required for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and schedule appointments using scheduling knowledge.
• Perform patient registration and verify insurance and eligibility.
• Process insurance claims, posting payments and follow-ups on denials.
• Coordinate with physicians and departments for authorizations and referrals.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors.
