Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; vocational medical office training desired.
• Preferred one year of medical office and/or hospital experience.
• Certification as Medical Assistant (CMA) may be required for some positions.
• Knowledge of billing, scheduling, insurance concepts, and patient financial responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient management and scheduling across departments.
• Verify insurance benefits and estimate patient financial responsibility.
• Complete insurance processing, verification, and posting of payments.
• Collect deposits and advise patients on anticipated costs; ensure cash handling follows policies.
• Coordinate authorizations and communicate with physicians and staff as needed.
• Maintain accurate registration data and assist with billing and collections workflows.
