Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED; vocational medical office training desired or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 1 year medical office/hospital experience including eligibility and benefit analysis or scheduling for diagnostics/surgery.
• Licensure: CMA may be required for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient management, scheduling, insurance verification, and billing/posting responsibilities.
• Handle deposits and explain insurance benefits and estimated costs to patients.
• Complete insurance processing including verification, authorization, and denials follow-up.
• Explain forms and obtain signatures for regulatory requirements; register patients and document data.
• Coordinate with physicians and departments to schedule procedures and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Provide customer service via phone and in person; maintain confidentiality and safety policies.
