Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Patient Access Center Representative to ensure timely scheduling and registration for patients at our facilities. You will verify eligibility and benefits to secure financial clearance prior to appointments, and assist management with process improvements.

You will provide excellent customer service, communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff, and navigate multiple software systems to coordinate care while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of healthcare call center or customer service experience, or completion of Houston Methodist Call Center Apprenticeship.
• Healthcare terminology knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and register patients for services at assigned location.
• Verify eligibility and benefits to ensure financial clearance.
• Communicate with patients, physicians and staff to minimize delays and denials.
• Use scheduling/registration systems and portals to manage appointments accurately.
