Job summary

Santiam Hospital & Clinics in Stayton, OR, is seeking a Patient Access Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients across the hospital system.

You will schedule appointments, obtain pre-authorizations, manage the department schedule, answer calls, and handle information requests with professionalism.

The role requires a high school diploma, customer service experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting; bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience in customer service and data entry.
• Experience with a multi-line phone system.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.
• U.S. citizenship or right to work in the United States.
• Driver's license or identification.
• Willingness to participate in Hospital orientation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments for outpatient services after insurance pre-authorization.
• Obtain and verify insurance pre-authorization for department services.
• Maintain and modify department services schedule under direction.
• Answer telephone calls professionally and route as needed.
• Respond to patient and provider information requests.
