Santiam Hospital & Clinics Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine Clinic seeks a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, setting the tone for care across the hospital system. You will schedule appointments after pre-authorization, verify insurance, answer calls, and support outpatient paperwork and scheduling.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, prior customer service/data entry experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or data entry is preferred.
• Ability to operate a multi-line phone system and manage interruptions.
• Bilingual Spanish and English is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments for Outpatient Services after pre-authorization.
• Obtain and verify insurance pre-authorization for services.
• Maintain and modify Department services schedule under direction.
• Answer calls professionally and transfer within the Department.
• Respond to patient and provider information requests.
• Complete outpatient service paperwork and clerical tasks as needed.
• Order replacement supplies for at-risk department areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.

You will be a vital part of a team that works hand-in-hand with our Pulmonary clinic to provide comprehensive, integrated care for both adult and pediatric sleep disorders.
