Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; post-secondary education helpful.
• One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office; customer service experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify demographics.
• Create, scan, and route documents or electronic forms.
• Inform patients about documents and capture signatures.
• Establish and assign financial responsibility; assist with arrangements.
• Collect co-payments, pre-payments, and payments on account balances.
• Coordinate scheduling with nursing team and providers; obtain referrals and pre-authorization.
• Arrange interpreter services; check patients in/out; operate multi-line phone.
• Coordinate telemedicine appointments and recall/waitlists as needed.
• Prepare and coordinate charts; manage patient documents and information.
