Job summary

You will handle insurance verifications, communicate financial obligations, maintain HIPAA privacy, and ensure timely processing of referrals, forms, and recalls while upholding high confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
• Ability to verify demographics and insurance information.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients for appointments and verify demographics.
• Monitor wait times and communicate changes to patients.
• Read and interpret insurance responses and assign primary/secondary/tertiary coverages.
• Explain financial obligations and collect fees when applicable.
• Ensure HIPAA privacy and patient rights are upheld.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and referrals as needed.
• Process multi-channel messages related to appointments, referrals, prescriptions, and complaints.
