Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a front line support associate to greet and register patients, verify demographics, and assist with the check-in and scheduling process. You will support the patient checkout, communicate financial obligations, and ensure HIPAA compliance in a fast-paced office setting.

The role involves handling insurance responses, processing referrals and pre-certifications, and maintaining accurate medical records while protecting patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience preferred.
• Front desk registration and patient check-in experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register incoming patients and support check-out process.
• Schedule future appointments as applicable.
• Verify demographics and assist with insurance processing and forms.
• Communicate financial obligations and collect fees at time of service.
• Maintain patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
• Process referrals, pre-certifications and recalls as needed.
• Ensure timely completion of check-in procedures and monitor wait times.
• Respond to patient and physician requests via multi-channel communication.
