Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma - GED or HiSET equivalent - Required
• Associate's Degree - Or business college certificate - Preferred
• Experience in computer data entry, customer service, collections and medical record responsibility - Preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology - Preferred

Responsibilities

• Schedules, reschedules, and cancels patient appointments with physicians and staff.
• Enters patient data into computer systems accurately and completely.
• Communicates with patients regarding appointments and documentation.
• Prepares release of information and consent forms as required.
• Answers calls and acts as receptionist for patients and staff.
• Relays information between patients, providers and staff.
• Coordinates orders with other departments as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality of information.
• Attends departmental meetings and trainings.
• Requests payments and reconciles daily receipts.
• Performs other duties as assigned
