Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Desire to work as a team member in delivering health care to the community, including underserved members.
• Excellent telephone and public relations skills to establish and maintain harmonious relations with the public.
• Ability to handle confidential information and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls to the Clinic and direct as needed.
• Schedule patient appointments and enter accurate demographic data into the EMR.
• Review appointment details (date, time, location, provider) with caller.
• Inform patients of items to bring (insurance card, meds, visit fee, income verification).
• Remind patients to arrive 15–30 minutes early to complete paperwork.
• Remind patients of cancellation/no-show policy.
• Assist with mailings and other clerical duties as volume permits.
• Coordinate with other departments and escalate to triage when needed.
