The Portland Clinic is hiring a Resource Scheduler I to join our Nursing Services team in Portland, OR. This 40-hour, non-exempt role handles heavy patient contact by phone and in person, schedules all department appointments, processes referrals and prior authorizations, and maintains smooth patient flow across locations.

You will work closely with physicians, staff, and patients in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and strong organizational skills while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records and medical software.
• Excellent phone etiquette and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and route to the appropriate person.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for specialty departments.
• Ensure referrals are in place and note information in the EHR.
• Obtain prior authorizations for medical appointments and medications.
• Assist Medical Assistants as needed.
• Maintain professional communication with physicians, staff, and patients.
