Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• Experience with computer systems or web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and register patient appointments and provide information (addresses/directions, hours, other departments).
• Process all phone, fax, email, and other communication channel requests with efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist new members with introduction to and explanation of available services and providers.
• Update patients of the status of their referral or authorizations.
• Answer, screen, and process a high volume of incoming calls professionally and direct patient access to the practice.
• Uses scheduling guidelines and determines appointment type and urgency to route to the appropriate provider.
• Communicates pre-procedure instructions and exam preparation requirements to patients.
