Job summary

You will verify demographics and insurance, apply sliding fee discounts, process payments, operate the e-HR and Athena, and maintain HIPAA compliance while helping patients navigate care with empathy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Administrative Assistant or Medical Assistant degree preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; HIPAA knowledge a must.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and make them feel welcome across Union Community Care sites.
• Handle incoming calls and provide accurate information about access and services.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information; apply sliding fee discounts.
• Check insurance coverage as needed and support billing with co-pays.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments; manage appointment portals.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the e-HR system and Athena.
• Process and reconcile payments; prepare daily cash batch.
