Job summary

AdventHealth in Ocala, FL is seeking a patient scheduling coordinator to facilitate registration and scheduling for outpatient services. You will communicate with registration and ancillary departments to ensure accurate capture of appointments and efficient patient flow throughout the day.

The role requires basic clerical skills, familiarity with scheduling processes, and the ability to manage workload with independence, contributing to timely patient care and efficient clinic operations.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of scheduling and precertification processes.
• Proficient with basic clerical tasks and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the registration and scheduling process for patients.
• Communicates with registration and departments to ensure accurate intake and throughput of outpatient appointments.
• Schedules patient appointments for ancillary departments and records necessary information.
• Notifies physician offices of possible non-covered appointments.
• Handles precertification delivery and assists team with reporting to improve patient care.
