Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is seeking a Patient Services Representative to greet patients, perform front desk duties and help manage appointment flow. You will collect demographics, verify insurance, and ensure accurate registrations to support seamless clinic operations.

Ideal candidates bring strong customer service, reliable communication, and proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and basic PowerPoint. This role supports access to care and the patient experience at SRALab.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college/training preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a customer service role or general office setting.
• Understanding of healthcare operations and insurance basics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse patients.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel; basic PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist incoming patients and families.
• Handle check-in/check-out, scheduling, and registrations.
• Verify insurance and collect demographic data accurately.
• Respond to questions and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Post payments and assist with daily cash reports.
