Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Healthcare or registration experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and register patients in a courteous, efficient manner.
  • Answer telephone calls and schedule appointments.
  • Obtain accurate demographic, insurance, and physician information.
  • Screen data for insurance eligibility and pre-certification requirements.
  • Instruct patients on registration requirements and next steps.
  • Identify self-pay patients and refer to financial assistance when applicable.
  • Maintain open communication with departments and clinical staff.
  • Assist in shadowing and precepting new employees.
