Job summary

JAG Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet patients, schedule appointments, and manage records at our Midtown New York location. You will handle authorizations, insurance workflows, and daily financial duties while delivering exceptional customer service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1+ year healthcare reception experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team across multiple sites per travel policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a medical assistant certificate preferred.
• 1+ years as medical receptionist/administrative assistant in healthcare.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Availability to travel to JAG locations per travel policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in the medical office.
• Answer questions and provide necessary directions.
• Field calls arriving to the general office number.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments using medical software.
• Register new patients and update records.
• Distribute forms to ensure required fields are completed.
• Daily collection of patient financial responsibility.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient records.
• Complete and track insurance verifications, authorizations, and referrals.
• Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation and Auto claim submissions.
• Perform other duties as required.
