Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years in a health care business office setting.
• At least 3 years of cash handling or payment posting experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
• Experience working with a diverse population.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet the public and schedule appointments.
• Maintain patient records and assist with admissions and discharges.
• Process registrations and data entry into the electronic health record.
• Verify insurance and educate patients on the patient portal.
• Assist with financial counseling referrals as needed.
• Handle incoming calls and coordinate appointments.
• Ensure cleanliness and professional appearance of the waiting area.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
