Qualifications

• Greet and register patients; maintain courteous, efficient front-desk interactions.
• Verify demographics and insurance information for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in handling patient data.

Responsibilities

• Check-in patients and accurately verify demographics.
• Monitor patient wait times and communicate changes to the patient.
• Provide kiosk support to facilitate check-in when available.
• Understand insurance rank requirements to assign primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance per encounter.
• Read and interpret insurance responses.
• Ensure patients receive necessary disclosures and signatures.
• Communicate financial obligations and collect fees at time of service.
• Complete regulatory forms with patients as needed.
• Schedule follow-up appointments including referrals and ancillary services.
• Handle multi-channel messages related to appointments, referrals, prescriptions, and complaints.
• Notify patients/guarantors of anticipated financial responsibility and collect accordingly.
• Post cash following department guidelines.
• Work independently on queues to resolve accounts.
