Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients and visitors promptly, courteously, and professionally.
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information at each visit.
• Collect patient copayments and outstanding balances.
• Verify that all patients have signed and completed consent forms prior to treatment.
• Schedule and reschedule patient appointments according to guidelines.
• Manage and update patient waitlists and call lists.
• Contact patients to confirm appointments and service-related issues.
• Assist patients with paperwork, such as work and school excuses.
• Assist staff with information needed to complete medical documents and verify accuracy in the EHR.
• Manage initial patient complaints and feedback professionally.
• Relay communications including portal messages and result notes.
• Work with patients, providers, and teams to improve efficiency.
• Scan medical documents and assist with patient record management.
• Screen and route patient calls to other departments.
• Assist other staff as needed.
• Print patient care instructions and review after-visit summaries and orders.
• Print radiology orders and direct patients to radiology.
• Travel to other locations may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Report patient safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clutter-free work environment.
