Job summary

You will engage with patients by phone and in person, manage multiple tasks, verify insurance eligibility online, and support office operations while upholding regulatory standards and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Required: high school diploma or equivalent; may consider years of work experience in lieu of degree.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
• Some college coursework in business or healthcare is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Register patients into the clinic system and enter demographic, insurance, and scheduling data.
• Greet patients and visitors courteously as they arrive for check-in.
• Educate staff and physicians on scheduling processes and computer systems.
• Schedule patient appointments by phone, in person, or electronically.
• Handle multiple tasks including inquiries, data entry, and basic billing support.
• Verify insurance eligibility via insurer websites.
• Demonstrate proficiency with computer software, phone system and office equipment.
• Support regulatory compliance efforts and perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
