Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors with professionalism and empathy.
• Complete timely and accurate patient registration, including demographic, insurance, and financial data.
• Obtain patient signatures on consent forms and privacy notices complying with hospital and legal requirements.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, updating records accordingly.
• Determine and collect co-pays, deductibles, or deposits; explain financial assistance when needed.
• Collaborate with clinical and security teams to prioritize intake and maintain flow.
• Enter and maintain patient data in EMR and registration systems, correcting duplicates.
• Respond to inquiries promptly, showing sensitivity to diverse situations.
• Stay informed on payer guidelines and hospital policies for accuracy.
• Support process improvements and assist in training staff; provide backup in high-volume periods.
