Responsibilities

• Maintains current knowledge of patient scheduling software and standard operating procedures for pre-registration and scheduling.
• Pre-registers all new patients with high accuracy.
• Obtains demographic data and reason for visit from referrals and schedules.
• Verifies insurance electronically or by phone and informs patients of expected payment at service.
• Completes data entry of pre-registration notes in the scheduling system.
• Uses scheduling guidelines to determine need for financial counseling.
