• Determine and collect patient co-pays, deductibles, or deposits; explain financial assistance options.
• Collaborate with clinical and security teams to prioritize patient intake and maintain efficient flow.
• Enter and maintain patient data in the EMR and registration systems, correcting duplicates or errors.
• Respond promptly to patient and family inquiries with sensitivity.
• Stay informed on payer guidelines and hospital policies to ensure compliance.
• Support process improvements and assist in training new staff; provide backup to other Patient Access areas during high-volume periods.
