Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Customer-focused Clinical Access Specialist to ensure outstanding service while scheduling, collecting demographics, and verifying insurance for pre-registration and pre-certification.

You will work under the Patient Access Service Center leadership, handling data entry, insurance verification, financial counseling when needed, and coordination across departments to keep the scheduling process smooth and compliant.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years hospital registration experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and under stress.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and payor requirements.

Mansioni

• Enter data into scheduling system for multiple areas (OR, Cardiology, Radiology).
• Identify available times for scheduled procedures while ensuring verification.
• Perform medical necessity checks and ABN notifications.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits with payer.
• Capture and document patient demographic and insurance information in the ADT system.
• Ensure accurate scheduling and minimize errors.
• Assist with pre-certification documentation.
• Handle incoming calls and meet customer service standards.
