Job summary

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required.
• Preferred 2 years working in a medical office setting.
• Preferred experience in insurance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manages a high volume of incoming and outgoing telephone calls.
• Accurately schedule and re-schedule patient appointments in a timely manner.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations as needed.
• Coordinate patient appointments with downstream departments.
• Pre-register data elements prior to service dates.
• Update billing system to reflect insurance status and add coverage.
• Provide clerical and administrative support and generate tracking reports.
• Assist with departmental coverage as required.
