Scottish Rite for Children is seeking a Patient Access Representative PRN for Therapy Services in Frisco (Ambulatory Surgical Center). This 20-hour-per-week position on the 2nd shift (3-7 pm, M-F) supports scheduling, insurance verification, pre-registration, and billing updates.

The role requires a High School diploma with preferred experience in medical offices and insurance procedures. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Preference: 2 years in a medical office setting.
• Experience with insurance procedures preferred.
• Experience scheduling medical appointments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle high volume incoming/outgoing calls and patient communications.
• Schedule and reschedule patient appointments in a timely manner.
• Verify insurance coverage and assist financial counseling as needed.
• Pre-register data elements prior to service date and update billing records.
• Obtain authorizations/pre-certifications as required for procedures.
