Job summary

AdventHealth Port Orange is hiring a Registration Clerk to facilitate patient registration and scheduling for outpatient services. You will communicate with departments to ensure accurate intake and throughput of appointments, and you will enter required information for patient visits with attention to detail.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, familiarity with office equipment, and a willingness to learn in a faith-based healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv is required.
• 1+ year in a medical setting with coding, charge entry and payment collection preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the registration and scheduling process for patients.
• Communicates with registration and ancillary departments to ensure accurate capture and throughput of outpatient appointments.
• Schedules patient appointments for ancillary departments and ensures all necessary information is recorded.
• Interacts with registration and promptly notifies physician offices of possible non-covered appointments.
• Facilitates precertification delivery for outpatient clinics.
