University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking a Patient Access Representative to serve as the first contact for patients and families. You will ensure accurate registration, assist with MyChart enrollment, and support the care team to keep appointments on schedule.

You will handle insurance information, collect payments, and coordinate with departments using EPIC, MyChart, and workqueues. This role emphasizes exceptional patient service and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in and out for visits and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Answer phones, handle inquiries, and schedule appointments.
• Assist patients with enrolling and using MyChart.
• Enter and validate patient data to ensure accurate registration across systems.
• Coordinate with the medical care team and relay important information.
• Contact insurance for coverage or preauthorizations as needed.
• Collect copays, coinsurance, or balances and process payments.
• Assist with paperwork and scanning documents into EPIC.
• Manage referrals and follow-up visits; navigate EPIC workqueues and inbasket messages.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and support cross-training as needed.
