Job summary

You will manage telecommunication duties, assist with billing conversations, and ensure accurate scheduling across departments under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associates preferred.
• Must enroll in medical terminology course within 3 months or provide equivalent certification.
• Microsoft Word certificate required within 3 months or CVPH testing proof.
• Microsoft Excel certificate preferred.
• Data entry accuracy test with 95% must be passed.
• Within 24 months, become Certified Healthcare Access Associate.
• One year of customer service experience; ability to discuss copays and payments.
• Must enroll in basic coding course within 3 months or present certificate.

Responsibilities

• Interview and collect patient demographic, clinical, and financial information and enter into the hospital system.
• Distribute required patient information confidentially to appropriate teams.
• Take admission reservations from physicians' offices and Emergency Department.
• Schedule tests and admissions and coordinate with ancillary and clinical departments.
• Handle all telecommunication representative duties as part of care access.
