Job summary

University Hospitals Center of Orthopedics is hiring a Patient Access Representative. You will greet patients, verify insurance, schedule visits, and assist with MyChart. You will coordinate with the care team, handle payments, and ensure PHI is protected while maintaining excellent patient service.

Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail are essential. Prior healthcare customer service and EPIC experience are a plus; this on-site role may involve off-site locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience
• Healthcare customer service preferred
• Excellent communication with patients and providers required
• Attention to detail for accurate demographic and insurance data
• Ability to use EHR systems and MyChart is preferred

Responsibilities

• Check patients in and out for visits
• Answer phones and schedule appointments
• Assist patients with MyChart
• Enter and verify patient demographics and insurance information
• Communicate with care teams and insurance companies when needed
• Process patient payments and collect balances
• Scan documents into EPIC and manage worklists
