Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet patients, collect accurate demographics, insurance and payment information, and coordinate scheduling. You will answer inquiries by phone and help patients enroll with MyChart.

The role requires exceptional communication, strong organization, attention to detail, and compassion while protecting patient PHI. You will work with EPIC workqueues and support the care team to keep appointments on schedule.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in and out for visits.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Assist patients with MyChart enrollment.
• Enter and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Process patient payments including copays and balances.
• Maintain PHI confidentiality and HIPAA standards.
